Botulinum Toxin Type A

Used to temporarily smooth moderate to severe wrinkles and lines. This
quick, safe, non-surgical treatment is performed by Dr. Steiner in our Burien

Frown lines and wrinkles can be caused by the frequent movement muscles.

BOTOX Cosmetic is a purified protein that, in low doses, blocks the nerve impulses responsible for muscle
movement. Relaxing the muscles that cause frown lines allows the skin surface to smooth out so that lines
begin to fade.

BOTOX Cosmetic is FDA approved as a simple, effective treatment to reduce frown lines. It is administered in
our clinic by means of several tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause frown lines. Compared to other
cosmetic options this treatment is quick, relatively inexpensive, and requires no down time. Discomfort is
minimal, treatment is brief and recovery is immediate. Your BOTOX Cosmetic treatment will not interfere with
your normal activities. You will begin to see noticeable improvement within a few days, and the effect lasts for up
to four months.

Patients with neurological disorders such as ALS, Myasthenia Gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may not be
good candidates. As with any medical treatment, side effects can occur and may include headache, respiratory
